Hair Products I am Loving Right Now.

Since I can remember, TRESemmé curl hydration has been my goto product for years! In fact, if I was ever sponsored by TRESemmé I think I would cry because I love their products. However, after using this product since I can recall in high school, I noticed that my hair was actually starting to look super dry. In addition, my scalp was dry, my curls weren’t sitting nicely, and there was an unfamiliar smell to my hair – gross! Just FYI there is NOTHING wrong with the brand itself, I think my hair just got so use to the curl hydration product that it was doing the opposite of its actual purpose – there was zero absorption.

I decided to try this product actually in Australia and I LOVE IT. It is the TRESemmé BBontanique Nourish and Replenish Shampoo & Conditioner – a fairly new product. It has aloe vera and coconut milk along with some pretty awesome ingredients – great for curly hair! I also incorporated a deep conditioner by the brand named Inecto Naturals Coconut Conditioner something that I was missing in my weekly wash routine. I simply leave it in between 2-5 minutes and rinse. Inecto is a brand that I found here in Switzerland last year and decided that it would be my goto bottle while I am currently living in Switzerland this year too.

Professionals suggest that we should change our hair products every few months so the hair can absorb different nutrients to keep the hair looking healthy – clearly I didn’t listen to this but I would HIGHLY suggest finding another alternative. I am one of those weirdos who love to eat the same foods, use the same products and do the same things – I hate wasting money. So although I am still using the brand TRESemmé, the BBontanique range has a bit more nutrients that my hair just absorbs! Anything with coconut, macadamia or argon oil I would encourage anybody suffering from dry hair or a dry scalp to please try!

When you’re traveling to different countries, not every country stock the same hair products that you may use at home. I found this out very quickly when I moved to Switzerland last year – I almost had a melt down (so dramatic I know). After a bit of research, I came across a few products that I am absolutely LOVING right now! It’s crazy because Switzerland don’t carry a lot of curly hair products or if they do they’re almost double the price of the USA – shocking. So here are a few alternative products that I use now.

Switzerland do not stock TRESemmé in the city I live in. I just can’t justify paying the outrageous shipping bill or for the products they do stock for curly hair. Alternatively, I have fallen in love with the brand OGX Hydrating + Macadamia Oil Shampoo & Conditioner which can be found in both Australia and the United States. For extra hydration, I also put the hydrating oil (small bottle) in my hair especially on the ends where I have color. In addition, I have been using the brand Monoi Coconut Oil for a leave-in conditioner treatment, as well as Inecto Natural Conditioner (in the previous picture) which I alternate between the two. Each of these brands has been my lifesaver to replenish my hair!

I try to do a deep conditioner treatment once a week and I wash my hair at least every four to five days. I use to wash my hair almost three times a week and it really wasn’t healthy! Our hair really absorbs natural oils and its actually healthy for it – which explains why my scalp was so dry! I encourage for the people like myself to cut down the number of times you do wash your hair and absorb some of your natural hair oil honey.

I hope this post was useful. Let me know what kind of products you are loving at the moment. I would love to know!

Have a great week.

I see A LOT of people using Aussie. They do have it over in Switzerland – I think I might have to test it out. How good is OGX! It’s the best. The amazing fragrance and the hydrating oil is fabulous. Thanks beautiful for the comment. xx
