Judging by the title today, I have decided to write a short blog post about one culture of food I absolutely love – Asian! I’m not sure what it is but ever since I can remember my father would take me out to the nearest sushi bar/noodle bar and/or all round menu restaurant where I could try all of the delicious food. I’ve never been a picky eater and so Asian food just ticked all the boxes for me – HEALTHY! Alright, to be fair the only probably picky thing related to my food is how I like my meat cooked – well done. Other than that I am pretty easy! Growing up as an athlete I would always have to replenish my body and no matter what I put into my body I was always in the best of moods – nothing has changed.
Have you ever heard of the term “hangry“? Well HELLO, this is me whenever I get really hungry – just feed me! I think every female experience this on a regular basis. I don’t know what it is, but I honestly feel like whenever you’re hangry everything just gets on your nerves or your partner seems to purposely do things to irritate you! Truth is, I don’t need designer clothes or accessories to make me happy, I’ve never been a materialistic girl AT ALL! I will gladly purchase an outfit from Walmart, Cotton On, Rue 21 etc – sale items are a girls best friend. Anyways, I’m not here to knock anybody who loves that sort of stuff but I just know – GOOD FOOD MAKES ME HAPPY!
Today, I ordered one of my favorite meals: Beef & Black Bean Sauce with Steamed Rice, it was so good! I took myself on a date and had a little bit of me time – which every girl needs. This is the second time I have gone to this place and the food is incredible. It is called Le Dynasty in Saint Francois. The staff speak English and are really sweet people which is something I am HUGE on – great service makes me happy. As I stated in some of my previous blogs, I’m not one to try a lot of different foods. So I decided to order the same dish, typical of me – a girl hates to waste money on things I don’t like.
All up it cost me about $23.00 CHF including a drink, which I think for Switzerland is pretty good! I would encourage you to take yourself out on a date even if it’s to a local cafe. You will be pleasantly surprised at how good you will feel after. I spent a few hours away from my husband which sometimes honestly even if things are fabulous, its totally okay to do so. I hope you enjoyed my post.
Please leave me a comment. I would love to hear what type of food you enjoy?
